Bullying Prevention

In May, 2010 Massachusetts passed a law (click here for full text of law) requiring schools to develop comprehensive bullying prevention plans and put into place services and curriculum to provide anti-bullying supports and education. The plan was most recently revised and approved by the Board of Trustees in  2018.

It is the responsibility of all MCCPS staff to be familiar with the Bullying Prevention and Intervention Plan and their roles and responsibilities in enforcing it. 

Key points of the plan are also summarized here:

• The Marblehead Charter School expects that all members of the school community will treat each other in a civil manner and with respect for differences.

• The Marblehead Charter Schools is committed to providing all students with a safe learning environment that is free from bullying and cyberbullying.

• The Marblehead Charter School will not tolerate any unlawful or disruptive behavior, including any form of bullying, cyberbullying, or retaliation, in our school buildings, on school grounds, or in school-related activities. We will support this commitment in all aspects of our school community, including curricula, instructional programs, staff development, extracurricular activities, and parent or guardian.
